See the splendor and beauty of the relief and the stupas of Borobudur Temple is the thing that many people want. They come flocking from all over the country and continent to see the beauty of Buddha temple which was built in the 9th century. One of the best times to enjoy the full details of the temple is in the morning, while watching the sunrise behind Mount Merapi.
That morning at around 4:30am, walked from Manohara Hotel to Borobudur Temple. Less than 10 minutes walking,we was already in the hall of the temple that was cold and wet because of the morning dew. Stars were seen scattering on the dark blue dawn sky. The morning was felt so still and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd. Some foreign tourists sitting on the third level, they looked so enjoying the fresh morning air and the silence that existed. Although there is no line of stupas as in level 8 and 9, the 3rd level becomes one of the tourists’ favourites to see the rising of the sun, for there is no high temple walls that cover the view.
A panoramic scenary and a very beautiful morning at Borobudur especially those moments when the sun would appear from the horizon. A truly enlightening experience!
