Green rice paddies and steep valley at the foot of the hill which is located in this Bali center part, gives never unforgettable wonderful feeling. Ubud is located at 25km to the north of Denpasar. The village originally, was a place an important source of plants and crops.

In 1930 from 1920, foreign artists such as Walter Spies who enjoys art in Ubud became a pioneer who revolutionized this village became the center of the art village. This village in recent years, began to enjoy the development of tourism, tourists will be able to enjoy the atmosphere of the creative arts and the relaxed lifestyle of farm life in the village of Ubud.

Main street of this village, and Jalan Raya Ubud through the center of the town extends from east to west (Ubud Boulevard), two long street, is Hanoman street extending from Monkey Forest Street and Jalan Raya Ubud south. Puri Saren is a big palace, which is located at the intersection of Monkey Forest Street and Ubud Boulevard.
You will find many restaurants Balinese cuisine to Western cuisine from the Monkey Forest and the Hanuman street. Authentic Balinese cuisine made from fresh ingredients at a local shop (stalls located along the road) has become one distinctive cuisine of this art tourism area.

One more good tourist spot list that always visited are Sukawati market of south Ubud. More than one hundred stores craft / art shop supply products with high quality, especially the handmade souvenirs made of stone and wood.

When visiting the temple Tirta Empul located at a distance of only about 15 miles, which is the heritage of the ancient Balinese dynasty, I feel like going back to ancient times. Here is a temple complex, where Tirta Empul is a sacred fountain. Since Ubud is relatively small, you can explore the city on foot, you can also rent a bicycle or motorcycle.

Wonders of the World in East Nusa Tenggara

I’m proud to live in Indonesia!”  Indonesia has some of the natural wonders that can not be found in other countries. Some of them actually belong to the wonders of the world. Well, this time I would like to invite you to look to the east of Indonesia, precisely to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Let's look at some of the wonders of the world in eastern Indonesia.

 1. Komodo Island
Komodo
Komodo National Park is located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores. Established in 1980, initially the main purpose of the Park was to conserve the unique Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) and its habitat. However, over the years, the goals for the Park have expanded to protecting its entire biodiversity, both terrestrial and marine. In 1986, the Park was declared a World Heritage Site and a Man and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, both indications of the Park's biological importance.
Komodo National Park includes three major islands: Komodo, Rinca and Padar, as well as numerous smaller islands creating a total surface area (marine and land) of 1817km (proposed extensions would bring the total surface area up to 2,321km2). As well as being home to the Komodo dragon, the Park provides refuge for many other  notable terrestrial species such as the orange-footed scrub fowl, an endemic rat, and the Timor deer. Moreover, the Park includes one of the richest marine environments including coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, seamounts, and semi-enclosed bays. These habitats harbor more than 1,000 species of fish, some 260 species of reef-building coral, and 70 species of sponges. Dugong, sharks, manta rays, at least 14 species of whales, dolphins, and sea turtles also make Komodo National Park their home.

 2. Pink Beach, Komodo Island, NTT
Pink Beach
A clear blue sky above, with fluffy white clouds drifting lazily across. Rolling green hills, covered luxuriantly in thick vegetation, interspersed with high, rocky cliffs. Calm, clear waters, tinted by the colorful corals beneath its surface, and alive with the movement of a hundred species of marine life. Last, but not least: a stretch of soft sand, but not white, not black, but PINK!
Pink Beach, or Pantai Merah, as it is aptly named, is one of seven pink beaches on the planet, and is just one of the many amazing features of Komodo Island that make it truly a Natural Wonder of Nature. This exceptional beach gets its striking color from microscopic animals called Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment on the coral reefs.  For this reason, it is called Red Beach in the local tongue. When the tiny fragments of red coral combine with the white sands, this produces the soft pink color that is visible along the shoreline. Aside from Pink Beach itself, a few small segments along Komodo’s eastern bay also have a pinkish tint.

3. Kelimutu Lake
Danau Kelimut
On the uniquely beautiful island of Flores is the Kelimutu National Park, where the famous Mount Kelimutu volcano resides with its striking tri-colored lakes resting in its caldera.
These stunning colored lakes are the most famous attraction in Flores and an absolute must visit. They are without a doubt one of the most amazing natural phenomenons in Flores, if not the world.Going from west to east, the first of these lakes is called Tiwu Ata Mbupu (Lake of the Ancestors’ Souls, Lake of Old People). This first and most westerly lake is located 1.5 km west of the other two lakes. The second lake is named Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai (Lake of Young People’s Souls, Lake of Young Men and Maidens)and the third lake is called Tiwu Ata Polo (Lake of Evil Spirits, Bewitched or Enchanted Lake). The second and third lake are separated by a steep, narrow stone wall of crater measuring 50 to 150 meters. The three lakes vary in color from each other and each one changes colors irregularly, almost whimsically, lending the whole area a wonderfully surreal atmosphere that have led to many locals myths and speculations about the origin of Kelimutu.

4. Gua Batu Cermin, NTT
Batu Cermin, or Mirror Rock, is actually a tunnel or cave in a dark stone hills of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara.  Sunshine comes in through a hole in the tunnel and then bounces on the stone walls that again reflect small lights to other areas inside the cave like a mirror. That’s why this site is called mirror rock.

The cave is located east of Labuan Bajo harbor some four kilometers from the town’s center.  The cave has forests surrounding it where you can find long-tailed monkeys and wild boar.  Travel agencies sell tour packages to Batu Cermin as part of a city tour program from Labuan Bajo.

 5. Nihiwatu Beach
Pantai Nihiwatu
"This has been voted one of the best left-hand breaks on the planet. But watch out for the reef if you get dumped -- try and shallow fall."The couple camped on the beach, an idyllic 2.5-kilometer-long stretch of sand. The beach is still difficult to access for anyone other than local villagers, and thus serves as something of a private beach for guests. It's hard to imagine this same sand was the scene, barely six months before the Graves' arrival, of a massive battle between 2,000 local tribesmen.Indeed, Sumba could be easily labeled an island that time almost forgot. That clash was an illustration of the fiercely traditional, territorial and tribal nature of Sumbanese culture -- reinforced by the swords the village men strap to their sides to this day. It's also, by Western standards, incredibly poor with little to no utilities access and infrastructure for many, if not most, villages. This lack of standard resources posed a challenge for Graves and his plans.

Located about 10Km North West off the shore of Bali’s mainland, the small island of Menjangan forms part of the West Bali National Park Conservation Area. The word "Menjangan" in the Javanese language means "Deer".
This small island is actually where diving first started seriously on Bali back in about 1978 under the sponsorship of the Indonesian Navy, when it arranged a get-together of the country’s main diving clubs -Possi, Ganesha, Nusantara, and Trisakti. That get-together led to Menjangan establishing itself as the premier international dive location in Bali and many of the attendees went on to become the pioneers of commercial dive operations across Indonesia.

5. TWIN LAKES, BUYAN AND TAMBLINGAN

Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan, separated by a rainforest-covered hill, are known as the Twin Lakes. This sight is a great overview of the volcanic heart of Bali. Volcanoes have created and shaped this island, creating volcanic cones and lakes, and producing rich soils enabling a lush forest to grow. Lake Buyan (on the left here) is Bali’s second biggest lake, after Lake Batur.
Coming from the southern developed areas of Sanur, Denpasar or Kuta, here we realize what Bali really is about. Grand Nature, like about the whole Indonesian Archipelago. It was a choice of the authorities to dedicate the south of the island to cities and large scale tourism, and leave the rest of the island less urbanized.

Bias Tugal, Bali Hidden Beach

Well, today I would like to share a little information about amazing place with spectacular beach to you. This place is special place, because a little of visitor who come to Bali knowing about this place. namely Pantai Bias Tugal, the location in Karangasem Regency. Pantai Bias Tugal is about 90 minutes by taxi from Ngurah Rai International Airport . Pantai Bias Tugal is 54 km east from Denpasar and takes about 1 hour to 90 minutes to drive from the southern tourist areas of Kuta and Legian. If you arrive at Padangbai turn right at the main street and pass the post office you will be on the right track. About 10 meters further there is a dirt road going uphill. I drove up there with a motorbike, but I can imagine that you would prefer to walk. It is quite a hike but if you stick to the dirt road you will reach the top and see Bias Tugal lying below. Then it is time to hike down. Ask around if you are not sure. The people there are very happy to help you.
Bias Tugal Beach, also called Pantai Kecil (Little Beach),Bias Tugel means the deduction of sand. Not many tourists know this beach, since it is very isolated and secluded. Nonetheless, this beach is very beautiful, with very clean water, clean white sands and quite beach, not so many people in this beach. There are many coconut trees around the beach. Bias Tugal Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach and the best beach in Padang Bai. Good for swimming, though the currents can be strong. There are several restaurants, but they are not very good. The beach is surrounded by a monstrous, unfinished resort.
When I swim at Bias Tugal beach. I was see sweet lips of box fish, clown fish, cleaner fish, octopuses, moray eels, stingrays, lion fish and all kinds of tropical marine life. Bias Tugal Beach It's a great place to relax, enjoy the beach and eat fish!I love the beach and if the tide is good then it is excellent for swimming. Don't forget to bring drinks and snacks , because there is hardly anything there
For your information :
The waves is quite big, particularly when the ferry has just passed.
If you can't swim, I guess don't go outside the shoreline, because the sandy area just for several meters from it.
Actually, if you overseas to Lombok by ferry from Padang Bai harbour, you can catch a glimpse of the beach.
There are reef at the right side of the beach, worth exploring!
