Penglipuran Village

 

Penglipuran Village, a Unique and Exotic of traditional baliness culture village.  Located on Kelurahan Kubu, Bangli district and Bangli regency. This village still upholds their traditional culture. Its nature culture can be notice when we enter the area. On Catus Pata area which is a border to enter this village. Over here, there is a village meeting community facilities and arrangement and an open outdoor yard as a welcoming symbol for the visitors.This village is one of the villages in Bali which has an order arrangement system from the traditional village structure.

Cultural Landscape of Bali Province

Subak is the name of water management (irrigation) system for paddy fields on Bali island, Indonesia which was developed more than 1,000 years ago. For Balinese irrigation is not simply providing water for the plant's roots, but water is used to construct a complex, pulsed artificial ecosystem. Paddy fields in Bali were built around water temples and the allocation of water is made by a priest.
Subak is a traditional ecologically sustainable irrigation system that binds Balinese agrarian society together within the village's Bale Banjar community center and Balinese temple. The water managements is under the authority of the priests in water temples without forget about Tri Hita Karana. Philosophy which is relationship between humans the earth and the gods.

ATV Riding

Batukaru Temple

Pura Luhur Batukaru or Batukaru Temple is a temple in Tabanan, Bali, Indonesia. Located on the southern slope of Mt. Batukaru Bali's second-highest volcano, the temple is one of nine kayangan jagat (directional temples) meant to protect Bali from evil spirits.

Pura Luhur Batukaru Temple is one of the six directional temples on Bali that are believed to protect the island and its people from evil spirits. Pura Luhur Batukaru protects Bali from the West and was originally built in the 11th century. This is an especially sacred site, even by Balinese standards and all visitors must carefully read and abide by the temple rules posted clearly at the entrance. The temple is high on the slopes of the mountain and the often misty, drizzly micro-climate here just adds to its undoubtedly mystical atmosphere
