Things to do with kids in Bali

Spending a holiday in Bali can be more enjoyable with family and kids. Here is a list of kid-friendly activities to enjoy on a lazy Bali holiday.

Bounce and Strike at the 'New' Canggu Club
If you are a sporty family, this club's activities might be the perfect fit.
As the name suggests, Bounce is a trampoline center. Strike is a bowling center above Bounce; both located on Jl. Canggu Club in Canggu.
Bounce is said to be the first of its kind on the island, offering a gravity-defying experience and airborne acrobatics in a safe and controlled environment. It has several arenas connected and outfitted with framed and spring-loaded trampolines, completely covered with two-inch foam pads to ensure safety. The mini-trampolines provide an opportunity for games of six-on-side dodge ball and there are two basketball hoops for slam-dunk competitions.
Meanwhile, enabling family members to team up for bowling time, Strike offers a modern ten-pin bowling center consisting of six lanes and automatic pinsetters complete with a computerized scoring system. Besides the bowling arena, it also has a restaurant and bar area serving food and drinks.

A fun walk at Tegalalang's rice terrace
Bali is famous for its rice terraces, or paddy fields. And Tegalalang in Ubud is regarded as the chief symbol of this agriculture haven.
Tegalalang rice field at Tegalalang village is less than 15 minutes from the center of Ubud.
The Tegalalang rice terrace is easy to hike. To avoid the heat, start trekking before 10 a.m. or after 3 p.m. More farmers will be around in the morning, though.

Family spa at Karma Kandara
Staying at a chic hotel and enjoying the day will be more enjoyable when you have a one-stop place that can accommodate all of your family needs on vacation.
Karma Kandara Bali resort in Ungasan, for example, offers a fun day filled with activities for the whole family. One of its popular packages is a 60-minute Mother and Daughter Spa Ritual -- consisting of a hydrating holistic facial as well as a mini-pedicure and manicure. There is also the Father and Son Chill Out Time, where both can enjoy a 30-minute relaxing neck, shoulders and leg massage.
Other interesting spa treatments available for children include the Ice-Cream Foot Massage that offers a soothing foot massage with a yummy ice creams and the Too Much Sun treatment, which applies cooling aloe vera to legs, arms, neck, face and shoulders for children who got too much sun.
A night safari at Bali Safari & Marine Park
A holiday with animals is always fun for children.
In addition to offering a safari journey during the day, Bali Safari & Marine Park recently renewed its night safari concept, using the theme, “Walking Safari and Night Entertainment”.
The tour begins with a walking safari trip after sunset. During this 15-minute stroll, visitors can marvel at the park's collection of nocturnal animals like porcupines and owls -- even elephants. The trip continues with a night-safari journey where visitors hop on a truck with a protective cage and ride by tigers, lions, elephants, rhinos and mountain goats.
The trip ends with a dinner or barbecue at Tsavo Lion restaurant or Nkuchiro Bar & Grill; both located near the Mara River Lodge in the safari area. This particular dining experience is especially exciting for children, as the Tsavo Lion restaurant has a wall-length glass window affording views of the park's lions.
